This wholesale pinata FAQ answers the practical questions buyers should settle before comparing quotations or releasing a custom order.
This page is organized around the order sequence. It gives the current facts we can state now and explains the few decisions that must follow the actual design, sample or destination. It does not hide those decisions behind “contact us for everything.”
If your order contains several designs, use the answers at SKU level. A mixed total does not remove separate MOQ, sample, label or carton requirements.
For a faster reply, send the product reference, quantity per design, target size, mechanism, packaging, destination, named FOB port and target date in the first message.
MOQ and first orders
What is your MOQ?
MOQ is confirmed by product. Existing designs, new custom shapes, color variants and private-label packaging do not automatically share one minimum. Send quantity per design so we can give a usable answer.
Can I mix designs in one order?
Yes, when the quantity per design, approval references and carton identity remain workable. List every SKU separately instead of sending only a total.
Can a mid-sized retailer place a trial order?
Yes. A focused first assortment is often the best way to learn. Use a small evergreen core, a limited test group and a clear reorder decision instead of spreading tiny quantities across many unrelated designs.
Do you keep ready stock?
Availability depends on the specific product and current plan. Identify the designs and date so we can separate available or established items from products that need a new production route.
For the fastest useful answer, send these eight inputs
The FAQ explains the rules, but the factory still needs the order-specific facts. Put them in the first message so the reply can separate confirmed values from design-dependent estimates.
If this is your first order, review the wholesale program before sending the eight enquiry inputs below.
- Product link, photograph, artwork or sketch for every design.
- Quantity required for every design, color and size.
- Target dimensions, mechanism and intended use.
- Sample, revision and approval requirements.
- Label, barcode, individual protection and carton-mark needs.
- Destination country, named FOB port and target date.
- Any named test, inspection, AQL or document requirement.
- The buyer-side person authorized to approve the final version.

Oliver’s factory view: The best first conversation is not long. It gives us the designs and quantities and tells us what the buyer is trying to achieve. We can then answer the real order instead of reciting a sales script.

Custom design and samples
What can I send for a custom pinata?
Send authorized artwork, a photograph, sketch or product reference together with target dimensions, quantity, use and must-keep features. Front, side and back references are especially useful for a three-dimensional shape.
How long does a sample take?
Sample work commonly takes about 3–7 days depending on complexity after the important inputs are clear.
The making time is only one part of the schedule; for dated programs, plan the complete seasonal sample timeline, including artwork, revision, approval and sample delivery.
How many revisions are included?
The current sample route includes one revision. A change to the outer shape, size or mechanism may require a new review because it is more than a small correction.
How can I approve the sample?
Approval can use complete photographs, video or a physical sample. Choose the route according to the risk: appearance may be approved remotely, while scale, balance, mechanism or fitted packaging can justify physical review.
Can the sample fee be credited?
Eligible sample fees can be credited when that condition is stated in the quotation. Confirm it before payment rather than assuming every sample uses the same treatment.
Handmade production and QC
Are you a factory or trading company?
We are the factory. Our pinata work began in 2017, and our current company was established in 2022. Production is organized across four work areas totaling about 2,000 m².
How much of the product is handmade?
Approximately 80% of our production work is manual, including forming and decorating many of the paper-based shapes.
Will every bulk piece look exactly like the sample?
The important dimensions, silhouette, colors, attachments and function should match the approved reference. Small differences in fringe placement, paper overlap or symmetry may remain when they do not change use or presentation.
What do you check before shipment?
The order-specific checklist covers product identity, agreed dimensions, overall appearance, filling and hanging points, mechanism when applicable, important attachments, quantity, labels and packing.
If the product will be filled and suspended, understand how hanging points should be checked together with the surrounding body, not as an isolated loop.
Can I arrange third-party inspection?
Yes, subject to the order plan. Send the inspection company, sampling plan, checklist and release requirement before quotation so cost and timing can be coordinated.
Packaging, freight and storage
What is your standard packaging specification?
There is no universal specification. Pinata size, shape, fringe, projections and retail presentation change the protection and units per carton. Final carton data follows the approved product and pack.
Why can shipping cost more than the product?
Pinatas are light and hollow because customers fill them. That useful empty space occupies freight volume. Air and courier services may charge dimensional weight, and ocean shipments can fill available cube before reaching a high weight.
Oversized products make the volume problem easier to see; plan a giant pinata from venue access back to its carton before treating the factory unit price as the main cost.
When are carton dimensions final?
After the product and protection method are approved. Preliminary estimates are useful for planning but should be replaced before the buyer locks landed cost or freight.
Can you add barcodes or retail labels?
Yes, after the product, artwork, label location and packaging version are confirmed. The buyer supplies the authorized final data and required destination text.
What export term do you currently use?
Bulk export quotations are currently prepared on an FOB basis with the named port stated in the offer.
Testing, documents, payment and privacy
Do all products come with one standing safety report?
No. Testing depends on product classification, materials, destination and buyer requirement. Send the named standard or report scope before quotation so it can be reviewed and arranged for the order when feasible.
What export documents are available?
Standard commercial invoice and packing-list documentation are available. Confirm any destination-specific or order-specific document before placing the order.
How are samples shipped?
Courier options can be discussed. Common service windows may be about 3–5 or 7–12 days depending on destination and service; the actual route is confirmed for the shipment.
What payment terms are used?
The commercial route may use full transfer or a 50% deposit and 50% balance, depending on the quotation. Follow the beneficiary and schedule written in the approved commercial documents.
Will you show my custom project to other buyers?
Not without permission. Customer names, logos, custom designs, quantities and launch details are treated as confidential.

- Target dimensions, mechanism and intended use.
- Sample priorities and approval method.
- Labels, barcodes, individual pack and carton marks.
